2.7 Disable and Re-enable a user

Disabling a user removes their access while keeping the account and its data on the tenant. Use it for someone who has left, is on extended leave, or whose account you suspect is compromised.

To disable a user:

  • Open Tenant > Users.
  • Locate the user, using Search users if the list is long.
  • Select Disable in that user's Action column.

A disabled user can no longer sign in or use the platform. Their account, settings and history remain in the system.

To re-enable a user: an Enable control replaces Disable on the row of a disabled user. Select Enable on that row to restore access.

Disable is greyed out on your own record (see 2.5). Disable works on other administrators.
