2.2 Understand the Mapping Service column and the registration status dot

The Mapping Service column carries two pieces of information in one cell.

The value is the user's SIP Usuario Nombre, which is their extension. When a user has been mapped to telephony, this column shows their extension number. That number is the same value held in the SIP Usuario Nombre field on the user's Mapping Service tab (see 2.11), so the two always agree. Use this column to read the extension list for your tenant at a glance.

A value of Not Mapped means the user has no telephony mapping yet. They can sign in to the portal but cannot make or receive calls. To map them, open the user record and complete the Mapping Service tab (see 2.11).

The dot is the device registration status. Each Mapping Service cell also carries a small coloured dot reporting whether the user's device or softphone is currently registered with the platform.

Dot colourMeaning
🟢 GreenRegistered. The user's device is registered and reachable.
🟠 OrangeRegistration in progress. The device is attempting to register.
⚪ GreyOffline. No device is currently registered for this user.

The application does not explain this dot. There is no tooltip on the dot, no accessible label on it, and no legend anywhere in the interface. The table above is the only key to it. A grey dot is normal for a user whose softphone is simply closed; it does not by itself indicate a fault. Read the dot together with the value: a mapped extension showing grey means the user is provisioned but not signed in to a device, while Not Mapped with a grey dot means no telephony has been configured at all.
